The rapid integration of Artificial Intelligence (AI) into organisational decision-making is transforming leadership practices, communication processes and organisational governance. Although AI can enhance efficiency, predictive capability and strategic decision-making, its implementation also raises concerns about transparency, ethical accountability, employee trust, and emotional well-being. Existing research has predominantly examined the technological and operational dimensions of AI adoption, with comparatively limited attention to its communicative and emotional dimensions. Addressing this gap, this conceptual study proposes a Human-Centric AI Communication–EQ Framework that positions strategic communication and emotional intelligence as complementary leadership mechanisms in AI-enabled organisations. Drawing on socio-technical systems theory, dialogic communication theory, emotional intelligence theory, ethical leadership theory and the Technology Acceptance Model, the framework conceptualises strategic communication as a mediating mechanism linking AI implementation with employee trust, while emotional intelligence functions as a moderating leadership capability that strengthens the effectiveness of communication in fostering trust. The framework further proposes that strategic communication and emotional intelligence contribute to ethical leadership, while employee trust supports organisational resilience and performance. By integrating technological, communicative, emotional, and ethical perspectives, the study contributes to the emerging literature on human-centred AI and highlights leadership's role in ensuring that technological transformation remains transparent, ethical, and responsive to human needs. The study proposes practical implications for leadership development, ethical AI governance, trust-building, and sustainable digital transformation.
